Grace and the Preacher Review
Grace and the Preacher
Author: Kim Vogel Sawyer
Rating: 4
Synopsis:
Theophil Garrison sets out from Montana to get as far away before his three cousins get back from jail. Due to an incident long ago Theo knows that the three still hold a deep grudge and the first thing they will do when they get to Montana is to make him pay for his mistakes. Grace Cristler has been writing to the new preacher and the two fall in love. On the trip to his old home Theo comes across a man in need who dies later that night. Theo is sent to Grace’s town to let them know the new preacher has died. After being greeted with such love, Theo has a hard time correcting the kind folks of Fairland, Kansas when they call him their preacher so he doesn't correct them.
WARNING:
I have no warnings for this book other than being aware that the cousins of Theo’s are hunting him down. There is a close call when the two come head to head but no violence is carried out. As for physical touch nothing but kisses on the cheek and one or two on the lips after the two are married.
My Opinion:
The book starts out slow but as you dig deeper it becomes more grip worthy. The author does a great job of creating suspense and unfolding the journey of all the characters. It is definitely a must read!
