Waterfall Book 1 (The River of Time Series) Review
Waterfall
Author: Lisa Tawn Bergren
Rating: 5
Synopsis:
Gabriella and Evangelia, or better known as Gabi and Lia, are daughters of an archeologist. They are in Italy looking for a lost city. After sneaking into a tomb they discover a portal that takes them to the time 1336. The two sisters get separated and Gabi goes out on her own to search for her sister. Here she meets Marcello a brave knight and the prince of Castello Forelli. Gabi has to find her sister and get back to her time before something bad happens. But, does she really want to go home or stay with the handsome knight? Only one problem, he is promised to another girl.
WARNING:
There is a lot of violence through out this book and is not meant for younger readers. In this book more PDA is used but nothing further than a kiss on the lips.
My Opinion:
While this book has violence, it gives insight to what the 1300’s would have been like. Lots of men fighting to see who is the best. You see loyalty and honor as the men fight for what they believe in. This is also a time where many are believers in Christ and they use references of Him a lot. It is definitely one of my favorites and it is in a series of three. If you like this one the others are Cascade and Torrent.
