The Hawaiian Quilt

Author: Wanda E. Brunstetter

& Jean Brunstetter

Rating: 4

My Opinion:

This book took a little bit to get into and I mean a couple of weeks. I started it at the beginning of the month and it took going on vacation and having no wifi to make me sit down and actually read it. I'm making this book sound really boring, but once I got a couple chapters in and I got to know the characters it made it better. I didn't totally fall in love with the characters as I do with Karen Witemeyer's books, but I did enjoy the story. This book was clean and you get to know two different cultures in one book, Amish and Hawaiian.

Synopsis:

Mandy Frey and three friends head out on a cruise to the Hawaiian Islands. When the cruise gets back, their families are expecting them to join the Amish church. Mandy has always wanted to go to the island since her cousin had gone and told her all about it; however, her boyfriend Gideon doesn't want her to go. Even though he doesn't want her to go, he gives his blessing and off the girls go. Everything was going great until they reached one of the islands and two of the girls get left on shore as the boat sails off to sea. Their stay on the island is extended for awhile, but will Gideon be able to wait for her or will she find someone new.

WARNINGS:

There is nothing to worry about this book is very clean and good for all ages.
