What Am I Reading Right Now?

Currently, I am working my way through Suzanne Collins’ new book, “The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes.” I am giving myself grace because I am also in school, so it takes me a while, but it is a very well-written story! For those who have not heard about this continuation of the popular series The Hunger Games, this book follows the infamous President Snow as a child. The story takes place after the rebel attacks and shows the Hunger Games' growth from holding tributes in a zoo to pampering them before the games.

This read is not exactly easy so far, I am only on chapter eleven, but their world is full of cannibalism, death, and starvation. The snow household is falling apart at the seams due to the rebel attacks, and their only solution is to pretend everything is fine. Snow and his classmates are tasked with making the Hunger Games more popular and making them hard not to watch. Everyone is a little insane due to the cards they have been dealt, but you have to read it to find out exactly what I mean!
