The Number of Love

My Opinion

I can honestly say that this book has quickly become the best book I have ever read! The author knows how to keep you on your toes, and like any good mystery, not everything makes sense until the very end. I say this a lot, but I truly fell in love with the characters and felt their story become mine. The mystery is not the only part of this book I enjoyed, but the author's spiritual lessons so poetically explained. I have always had trouble getting through full devotion books, yet the subtle lessons of trust and faith impacted my life in ways I cannot explain.

Synopsis

When England needs her the most, Margot De Wilde cracks even the most difficult German coded telegrams. Employed by Room 40, Margot loves her job and shows up her fellow male colleagues any chance she gets during the Great War. Life is excellent, and numbers are her safe place until a sudden loss severs her connection. Drake Elton, home from the war due to an injury, is instantly drawn to the girl who can crack any code but can she decode his love for her? Everything is excellent until Drake’s past catches up to him and threatens to injure him once again.

WARNING

While this book has beautiful messages of faith and love, it is also filled with war, pain, and even death. Some of the book follows Drake into the heart of danger, leading to him getting shot and injured. The man who hurts him comes back into the picture, putting Drake and Margot in danger. The man attacking them leans on the side of savagery and is focused on revenge.
