Synopsis:

The Bettarrini girls race back in time to try and save their father from a car crash. After talking about the possibility of him coming home they knew they had to try. When arriving, they snatched their dad and took him with them. The family now is all back together. They all enjoy their time together as a family again. On the other hand, Marcello is hurting for his own family. Lord Fortino has been captured and is dying in the dungeons at Castello Paratore. In an attempt to try and save Fortino, Gabriella is captured and forced to accept Rodolfo’s hand in marriage. Gabriella makes several attempts to break free but will she escape before her future is set in stone?

WARNING:

Violence is very heavy in this book as in the others. Many soldiers die but also servants who risk their lives. This book is very intense and not for younger reader. There is a marriage in this book and they share intimate moments together but nothing is described. 

My Opinion:

This book is like an emotional roller coaster. The author throws in many twist and turns throughout the book and some times it’s hard to hang on. However, in the end, it is all worth it. I loved this series and can not wait to read the next book from Lisa T. Bergren.
