The Longest Ride Review
The Longest Ride
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Rating: 2
My Opinion:
This book was not my usual cup of tea, but my sister loved the movie and thought the book would be good. The story has an amazing plot and follows two cute couples. With each page you grow to love each of the characters more and more. I couldn’t put the book down once it got going.
Synopsis:
Couple One: Ira Levinson gets in a car crash leaving him injured and coming in and out of consciousness. Having lost his wife nine years ago, Ira begins to see his wife appear in the passenger seat. His wife begins to recount their story in order to keep Ira awake and alive.
Couple two: A once retired bull rider, due to a major injury, comes back into the light of bull riding. Sophia Danko, is trying to avoid her ex-boyfriends who seems to be stalking her. On a night out with her girls, she meets a handsome cowboy who saves her from her drunk ex. Sophia and Luke talk all night and begin a long and great friendship.
WARNING:
Ira, and his at the time fiancé, do recount having sex before marriage and once more before they are married. Sophia and Luke also have sex while they are dating, but nothing is explained in detail. There is also a lot of kissing in this book, so I would suggest reading it before your kids if you are skeptical about the book.
